Nap time on the lake

 
Everyone is sleeping in the afternoon.  Even though the eagles are always present lately, keeping everyone on their toes.  Even perching in the lake!  But you still gotta sleep some time.

Horse Ski-joring?

Yes.  Some people are just crazy enough.  And apparently these is even a circuit you can compete in! But all these people were locals.  The horse pulls the skier around the course and over jumps.  Some good spills of coarse.  Even several horses ended up on their asses... not funny.  There was an icey spot on one of the curves were the horses kept hitting the ground.

First they paraded the perty horses.

Oh boy, oh boy, here it comes.

The competitors raced the clock.  You can see the jump behind the horse here.  It was really hard getting the skier and the horse in the same shot.

If you look real close you can see the skier hitting the jump here.  It was a long rope.

This skier is loosing it!  Not good to approach a jump when your facing backward.

Yea Haw

Was alof of fun to watch.  some horses were real fast and others not so much.

And then there was the kids class...with little ponies!

And for the less athletic...obviously.. there was the snow shoe barrel race :)
