Today is my birthday, happy birthday to me! Not too much going on, so I've spent some time thinking about life goals, celebrating where I am at, how far I've come, and just enjoying spending time with me. Ok , really I have a tendency to do this all the time, spend time by myself contemplating life...but this time it is my birthday :) Went for a dog run too. Reena, Roy and my favorite thing to do. We had fun, explored, ran through the snow and woods, chewed on disgusting deer legs, ran off and met someones barking dog in their back yard, and rolled in the snow. Then came home and barfed in the garage. I didn't partake in all of this, but sounds like a good day huh.
But tomorrow is responsibility time. I have to prepare for 8 interviews on Monday for two wildlife technician positions I have. But I'm looking forward to next weekend in Boise and our trial. Hell yeah!

Happy Spring
This picture doesn't do justice to how wonderful a spot this felt on Friday evening, which befitting enough I believe was the first day of spring... and friday evening of course. It was really warm in the sunshine and for a first I didn't have to wear a coat. I had a glass of good red wine and a view that was starting to look something besides cold and white. I'm thinking this is going to be a favorite spot.
Oh boy, Reena's in trouble now. Last night I won the bid on one shock collar at a Pheasants Forever Banquet. I got it for $115 cheaper than online. There are many levels of attitude adjustment on the collar, I'm sure to find one that'll work. Really I just need to keep her from chasing deer. I would love to get a GPS collar on her and see where she goes. The PF Banquet was fun and they had a whole lot of stuff. I was selling raffle tickets for a nice semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun. I bought some tickets for myself and for a pistol but didn't get lucky on either.

Something green and something herding
Happy St. Patty's Day! Hope your enjoying this alcoholiday with a pint of Guiness.
Hey, I have something herding related to relate. That hasn't happened in a way long time. It was a great weekend, alot of fun with friends and herding! And some traveling too, now that I have a job without travel and I am stuck in podunck, it was fun to go for an adventure and see WA...minus the rain and hail would have been fine. Everything was beautifully green and lush though.
Herding: Reena was back to her mouthy, try to make me stop self of yesteryear. I haven't worked her much during the past 6 months or so, so that was what I was expecting. And under those conditions we really did ok overall, and definately had fun. Except for the hail that pelted us during our run while everyone else ran for cover! We did get the worst weather award. Reena continued to worked hard with hail pelting her in the eyes.
And friends: Janie, Jodi and Jeanne and I all had a great time. We even added Katy to the mix (well I did) by calling her and singing drunk on her answering machine....uh sorry Katy. you didn't enjoy? It didn't appear that Janie and Jeanne thought our drive to the gas station was as funny as Jodi and I did either :) The trials in WA were awesome, what a fun event, great ranch setups, and great people. Hope to make it out next year too for all three days. On our way home we stopped at the Heppner Trial and saw great dogs run. Always inspiring.
